Beam-Illuminated Text applet parameters and useage

There are 4 parameters for the BIText applet. It will run without any parameters. The parameters are:

text beamcolor density speed

text - The text to be displayed. Text in caps looks good. Default is "virtig01".

beamcolor - Sets the beam color, in hex. Best results are achieved with brighter colors (lime, cyan, magenta). Default is 00FF00.

density - The number of beams to display. If text is not readable, increase this number. Default is 40.

speed - Sets the "brake" time, in ms. Default is 40. A higher integer results in "less hyper" movement of beams.

hovercolor - Available only with BITextPro.

background - Available only with BITextPro.

font - Available only with BITextPro.

textsize - Available only with BITextPro.

link - Available only with BITextPro.

After settinig the parameters, take a look. Adjust the applet width and height to make the text fit.

Slowdowns may occur if many instances of BIText are on one page. This usually does not occur on faster machines.
A lot of beams (high value for density) and a low value for speed may also cause slowdowns.
